Volunteer Role – Media Assistant

Waterlooville AFC are looking for a Volunteer Media Assistant to join the club’s media team and support the Head of Media with the day-to-day running of the club’s media and online presence.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in sports media, social media management, and graphic design within a football club environment.

Role Responsibilities

The Media Assistant will help with:

  • Creating social media posts and matchday content
  • Designing posters, graphics, and promotional material
  • Assisting with matchday media coverage
  • Writing short match reports and website articles
  • Updating the website with news and club information
  • Supporting sponsor promotion and club events
  • Working with photographers and the media team
Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator
  • Be confident creating posters and social media graphics
  • Have an interest in football and sports media
  • Be reliable and able to assist on matchdays when available
  • Have good communication and organisation skills
