Brand Protection – Waterlooville AFC

Waterlooville AFC is committed to protecting and maintaining the integrity of the club’s name, crest, colours and overall identity. Our brand represents the history, reputation and values of the club, and it is important that it is used correctly and respectfully across all platforms.

To help protect the club’s identity, the following guidelines apply to supporters, partners, businesses and media organisations.

Club Name and Crest

The Waterlooville AFC name, club crest and any associated logos are protected assets of the club. These elements must not be altered, edited, recreated or modified in any way. This includes changing colours, stretching, cropping, redesigning or creating unofficial versions.

They must not be used for commercial purposes, merchandise or promotional materials without prior written permission from the club. Only official versions of the club’s branding supplied directly by Waterlooville AFC may be used.

Partners, Sponsors and Media Use

Approved partners and sponsors may use the Waterlooville AFC name and crest as part of an authorised relationship with the club. All usage must remain accurate, respectful and consistent with the official branding materials provided by the club.

Any promotional activity, including online content, printed materials or advertising campaigns that feature the club’s branding, must receive approval from Waterlooville AFC prior to publication or distribution.

Supporters and Community Use

Supporters are welcome to share and celebrate the club across social media and fan communities. The club’s name, crest and imagery may be used in non-commercial fan content, discussion and coverage of the club.

However, supporters may not produce or sell merchandise using the club’s branding, charge for content using the club’s identity, or present personal opinions or communications as official statements from Waterlooville AFC.

Digital Content and Photography

Matchday photography, graphics, player imagery and other media produced by the club or its official photographers remain the property of Waterlooville AFC or the respective rights holder.

These materials must not be used for commercial promotion, advertising, merchandise or other business activities without prior permission from the club.

Prohibited Uses

The Waterlooville AFC name, crest or media must not be used in any way that could harm the reputation of the club. This includes use in connection with political messaging, offensive or inappropriate material, or any content that falsely suggests an official partnership or endorsement by the club.

Any use that misrepresents the club or its activities will be considered unauthorised.

Reporting Unauthorised Use

If you become aware of the Waterlooville AFC name, crest or media being used without approval, please report it to the club so that we can investigate.
