Club Statment - 04/05/2026

Waterlooville AFC can confirm that Jack Maloney has decided to leave the club.

Following a review of the club’s First Team setup, the committee felt there is a requirement for a manager with experience to ensure the best possible start for the First Team moving forward. This was a collective decision made by the full committee, with the long-term future of the club at the forefront.

As part of this process, Jack was offered the role of Assistant Manager / Head Coach to remain an important part of the club’s development .

Due to a sustained period of limited communication, the committee felt it was increasingly difficult to assess ongoing work and progress. As a result, and in the best interests of the club, this approach was taken to help provide a clear and structured direction moving forward.

After careful consideration, Jack has chosen to move on, and we fully respect his decision.

We would like to thank Jack for his efforts and the role he has played during his time at the club, and we appreciate his commitment throughout.

Everyone at Waterlooville AFC wishes Jack all the very best for the future and continued success in his career.

The club is now over the coming week actively looking for the position of 1st manager, further updates to follow
