Waterlooville AFC is delighted to confirm the appointment of Jack Maloney as the club’s new First Team Manager, following a detailed and considered recruitment process led by Director of Football Harvey Bradbury.

As the club continues its rebirth, this appointment marks an important step in putting the right foundations in place both on and off the pitch. Jack joins Waterlooville AFC as a young, ambitious manager who aligns closely with the long-term vision and direction being implemented at the club.

Jack began his football journey within the professional game, progressing through the academy system at Portsmouth, where he developed a strong technical base and football education from a young age. He later gained valuable senior experience across both league and non-league football, providing him with a broad understanding of different footballing environments and dressing-room cultures.

Following his transition into management and coaching, Jack has adopted a modern approach to the game, demonstrating strong leadership qualities and a clear commitment to developing players both individually and collectively. His hunger to improve and willingness to grow alongside the club were key factors in the decision to appoint him.

Speaking on the appointment, Director of Football Harvey Bradbury said:

This appointment reflects our commitment to putting the right people in place who genuinely share the club’s values, ambition and long-term vision. Everything we are doing is about building the club the right way, with clear structure and purpose.

Jack understands that. He wants to build a competitive, organised and progressive team, and he’ll be fully supported by a strong backroom setup as we prepare for the season ahead.

His enthusiasm, football knowledge and desire to grow alongside the club made him the right fit to lead us into this next chapter, and I’m confident he’ll have a real impact both on and off the pitch.

The club believes this appointment underlines its commitment to long-term planning and sustainable progress, with clear leadership and shared values at every level of the football operation.

Everyone at Waterlooville AFC would like to welcome Jack Maloney to the club and looks forward to working closely with him as we continue to build for the future.
