Ground Sharing Arrangement with AFC Portchester

Waterlooville AFC are pleased to announce our intention to enter into a ground sharing agreement with AFC Portchester for the coming seasons. This decision reflects both our long-term ambition and the practical requirements needed to support our initial growth.

As a club, we are committed to developing facilities that match our aspirations for the next several years. At present, there are no suitable local options that can accommodate the level of infrastructure required for this next phase. The opportunity to work with AFC Portchester has therefore been welcomed with genuine enthusiasm by both parties, and we are confident their support will enable us to progress without delay or compromise.

In the short term, we continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that our youth development programmes remain based at Jubilee Park. Our long-term vision is to unite all aspects of the club, senior and youth, once our own facilities have been fully developed. Youth football is a fundamental pillar of Waterlooville AFC’s identity and a key driver behind the club’s strategy. We will be working closely with our Head of Youth to ensure this vital area continues to flourish.

We recognise that ground sharing may not be the ideal scenario for everyone; however, remaining in our current position could limit the progress of the first team and restrict our ability to grow both on and off the pitch. This agreement allows us to maintain momentum while our long-term plans are developed.

We would like to thank Trevor Deacon, Trevor Brock and Paul Kelly for their support and excitement for our vision and the club’s rebirth journey. The open arms and encouragement we have received from them have been truly beyond words.

We will ensure that all supporters are kept informed as our long-term development unfolds. This is an important chapter for the club, and your ongoing support and involvement mean so much as we move forward. Together, we will continue building the future of Waterlooville AFC.
