Role Overview

Waterlooville AFC is seeking an ambitious and proactive Commercial Manager to support the club’s continued growth off the pitch.

As part of the club’s rebirth, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the commercial future of Waterlooville AFC. The successful candidate will help drive sponsorship, partnerships and wider commercial activity while working closely with the club’s leadership team.

This is a commission-based role.

Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and securing new sponsorship and partnership opportunities

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders

  • Supporting existing sponsors and ensuring positive ongoing engagement

  • Helping develop and implement the club’s commercial strategy

  • Assisting with commercial planning for events, matchdays and club initiatives

  • Contributing ideas to grow the club’s brand, visibility and revenue streams

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is motivated, organised and proactive

  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Is commercially minded and confident approaching businesses

  • Has previous sales or business development experience (an advantage)

  • Has an interest in football and grassroots sport

  • Wants to grow with the club and be part of a long-term project
